![]() We've been fluffing the nest before the snow flies. There is such a list of things you have to do before winter comes in. We re-stained the outside of the house. I was reminded of the first time we did that with the help of some New Orleans friends who were visiting. There's always odd stuff behind the shutters. I want our friend Melanie Miranda to know that we always think of her when we encounter bat guano. Here's the October mix. So much new music to listen to. Coming in the November mix is an amazing guitar duo, Rodrigo y Gabrielle. The genre has been called flamenco speed metal, which is like gypsy boogaloo on steroids. A couple of Mexican kids who learned English from their peers in Dublin, resulting in a charming sprinkling of the adverb "fucking" thoughout their language. Another great album has Sting singing pieces by the 16th century singer-songwriter John Dowland. And Neko Case, that voice. I don't watch much football in an election year. It's just not that competitive in comparison with politics. I am so hoping for a massive change in congress. Maybe it will only amount to getting new whores. Still, let's shake it up a bit. I've been out on the back roads doing a lit drop for John Piotti our local state rep. This old truck was at one of the stops. It's still a working truck. |
