Yesterday was the last day of our local Farmer's Market for the season. These gourds look like they are storing the light and color for another day. As I was taking pictures of them Lily the young daughter of one of the vendors, looked me in the face and said, "I live in this world." I'm not sure what she meant, but I nodded and said "I do too." It was just the perfect assertion.
This season is ending and we are poised for the next one. The color has pretty much drained out of the world. Melissa is pounding in stakes to guide the snow plow.
