Autumn Fern
| A great show by Ameranouche last night. Shepp is a guitar god. Never seen it done better. Played a lot of Django. He messes with Ryan, the rhythm guitar player, and Xar, the bassist, just daring them to follow something he's making up. The best thing about the show was that for 90 minutes I was too buzzed on the music to think about the election on Tuesday. As it stands the Tea Party buffoon has 40% of the vote; 60% of the good people of Maine don't want this asshole as governor, but they are split among 4 candidates, mostly between Libby Mitchell the democrat and Eliot Cutler an independent. The only way for the scary guy not to become governor is for one of the two moderates to drop out. There is no other way to signal the voters to shift. But on this Halloween when the rain has turned into giant wet clumps of snow, it does not look like that is going to happen. |
