This is our quiet winter world. We went for a walk on the lake this morning with the dog; took a photo first wearing new scarves that my sister sent. The proper tying of the long scarf was something we had an epiphany about on Christmas when Martha was leaving and she tied her scarf. We both went "Oh, of course." In the picture below, Melissa's is tied in the proper way, warm and secure, while mine is hanging around waiting to fall in my coffee or something.
Update on the goal of checking out library books and reading them on the phone. Been there, doing that. Overdrive Media Console is the app that works for the Maine State Library. You have to have a library card with a bar code on it. You have to register with Adobe Digital Editions to handle the DRM. Then after you register at the library site, you can browse and check out books. I started with Robert Reich's Aftershock: The Next Economy and America's Future.
