projects
Winter is for getting projects done, right? I'm working on the Language Symbols project of turning their slider books into app store apps. I'm so close. I'm using PhoneGap desktop to produce an APK for the Android market. It's nice the way I can iterate making changes to the app then serving it up to an Android device. PhoneGap uses the Cordova stuff to build and compile the app and there is some configuration thing with the Android SDK Platform versions that I can't seem to get right. Lots of other developers out there have the same issue so I will get it eventually.
After I am able to produce the APK locally, I get to deal with the Google Play Store submission site.
I want to build a web front end and database for the Waldo County Trails folks. It will slow me down to do it in PHP rather than Java, but I don't want the expense of another cloud server. Some nice relational tables linking trail segments to tax map lots and people.
No winter getaway for me this year, but I plan to spend a longer time down south at JazzFest time. The music schedule is great as always, but I'm not too impressed with the shirt.
