| Winter sunset on the lake. We're in kind of a January thaw with some mixed precip. I hope we get back to the light, white, skiable kind of precip soon.
We're planning the parade route for our Mardi Gras party; party guests will include my sister Colleen from Metairie and several of her friends. I'm thinking the All Kazoo Revue Krewe will march through town tossing some beads. |

| Is refusal to do something part of building character? I suspect it is. Case in point is our little pal Elaine, daughter of our friends Marge & Miff. Here she is a few years ago refusing to eat chicken salad. Something told me then, "this is interesting; document it." She is quite firm and polite in her refusal and will not be cajoled by the old "try a tiny bite" thing. Here she is just last week refusing apple cheve quiche. Can you tell she's just a bit more sure of herself? | |
