Winter sunset on the lake. We're in kind of a January thaw with some mixed precip. I hope we get back to the light, white, skiable kind of precip soon.
We're planning the parade route for our Mardi Gras party; party guests will include my sister Colleen from Metairie and several of her friends. I'm thinking the All Kazoo Revue Krewe will march through town tossing some beads.
Is refusal to do something part of building character? I suspect it is. Case in point is our little pal Elaine, daughter of our friends Marge & Miff. Here she is a few years ago refusing to eat chicken salad. Something told me then, "this is interesting; document it." She is quite firm and polite in her refusal and will not be cajoled by the old "try a tiny bite" thing. Here she is just last week refusing apple cheve quiche. Can you tell she's just a bit more sure of herself?
