I haven't been able to think of a thing to say since the mothership went down and the planet of origin was washed out of the sky. Family and friends in the diaspora check in from all over: Dallas, Houston, Marksville, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Virginia, Illinois, Madison, and of course, Baton Rouge.
We are angry and sad with them. We watched CNN like it was local news. We read nola.com and wdsu.com and wwltv.com and look at every picture.
