![]() I keep checking cnn.com for exit polls. I want to have a nominee all settled ( I'd like it to be Obama ) so we can get on with the real conversation. Besides, I'm a middle child and I don't like it when siblings fight. You can't talk about the economy without talking about the Iraq war. It's the hole in Daddy's arm where all the money goes. I'd love to wake up a lot of my deceased relatives, show them that a woman or a black man will be the next president, then send them back to sleep. Yes, there will be gloating. A couple of trilogies on the March Mix. Winter is stale, we're looking to spring. Sheryl Crow's Gasoline is like a sci-fi mini-series in 4 minutes. We'll see Amanda Shaw at Jazzfest. She is a seventeen year old fiddling whiz from Covington, La. who recently turned down the britneyfication of a Disney contract and signed with rootsy Rounder Records. Another song on her new album is about the Mexican workers who put their house back together after Katrina: "Chirmolito, super hero, up up and away." Good to see a kid's head in the right place. |
