We had to cancel our plans for Newport Folk this weekend because Melissa is recovering from an injury due to falling into a sink hole at Triplet Park. The fill over the foundation of the house that had been there probably had some air pockets in it that worked their way up. It's dangerous to fall into the past. I've used the quiet time to prep for the town office committee's info meeting on Thursday. I think we are down to 3 location options, and I suspect that the next info meeting will be attached to a town meeting where we present our recommendations as articles to be voted on. There is much good blogging material at our meetings but I can't get too descriptive here. I will say that when Tony comes to the meeting in his wrecker truck, he's ready to roll with new thinking in the face of old opposition. This week's civics lesson might be that apparent monoliths can have huge internal tensions.

The Bourg Five are up visiting. Cheap lobster ($3.99 lb) and the Amish are of interest. We don't cook the lobster ourselves; we take a cooler to Young's in Belfast and bring them home all ready to serve. We had a lobster feast after my meeting on Wednesday. 9 pm was not an unusual dinner time for them. Colleen borrowed my Colleen hat.

Good movies seem to come in sets. Saw Moonrise Kingdom yesterday, with its great soundtrack: Benjamin Britten and Hank Williams. Coming up are Beasts of theSouthern Wild, The Intouchables, and Safety Not Guaranteed.
