In the midst of re-entry tasks (gardening, committee work), here are a couple of cellphone camera memories from our trip. On a stairwell of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art is this huge painting called Universal Mule by Jack Niven. I got Melanie to stand next to it for scale.
Then there's this painting called The Southern Trinity: Elvis, Jesus, and Robert E. Lee. It's the kind of thing that makes your cellphone come out of your pocket almost involuntarily for a forbidden snapshot.
And lunch with Marie at House of Blues after our pilgrimage to Louisiana Music Factory.
