| On Labor Day we went to a boil-some-corn-and-eat-outside pot luck at Beth,Jaime, and Laurel's house. I let Laurel use my camera. The adults all had the instinct to bend down and stare into the camera; this got us some goofy parallax effects. Hazel took the picture of Laurel and me. |

| Yesterday we went to Skowhegan to get a look at the new Maine Grains grist mill and check on how my $25 kickstarter money had worked. The mill works spans all three floors of the old jail building with hoses and chutes and bins. Amber and company have softend up the building with accent walls in warm colors and art. A lot of the equipment inside is beautiful wooden things. I missed the tour so I have no idea how it all works. Steve Dionne did the renovation of the building and I'll get him to explain it all to me when he and Jennifer stay with us over Commonground Fair. |
