October in Maine. Leaf-peeping is hard work; folks be tired after chasing the colors all day. They need a place to stay. So the innkeeper is a busy lady. Still she found some time to marthastewart the kitchen door.

Of course, you've never toured the leaves until you're done it with the cyber pals. Digital cameras clicking away, palm pilots taking notes; the data is safe with these folks. And they left me a warehouse of images; I may never have to scan again. Here are their fabulous selves (godlike since they are made in their own images): Dave, Beth, Cherry, and myself. I left this pic of me on because in it I don't look completely like Bill Gates.
For a guy on vacation, Dave spends a lot of time on the computer. But he makes some very cool stuff. A good vacation starts out right when your midsize gets upgraded to a Blazer...and the Blazer was on the move.

Next week: artifacts from the foliage forage.
