You know you're really small town America when you sponsor a little league baseball team. I mean really, we're thinking of renaming Cadie and Dexter, Wally and the Beav. We went in halvsies on this team with the Books & Bagels shop. So the team was called the Book Birds. Driving back into town after work, I pass the park and these tiny children are out there in baseball uniforms. Kind of makes you miss the sound of breaking glass and cursing in the street. Yeah, and diesel bus fumes and gunfire in the night.
