This year I made a mix of favorite new songs for each month with a total of 247 songs from a lot of albums. I think in terms of song, cuts, not albums, so to see which albums ranked high with me, I sorted by year and artist and saw who had more than one cut included in the year.

I was dropping off a poster at Jorgensen's in Waterville this morning when I noticed the color cover of the What's Happening section of the Sentinel was my Fishtank Ensemble show for next Friday. It's a score to get the front page plus a nice interview inside. The Sentinel is the best bet for the west side of our market (Waterville, Skowhegan). The east side of our market, Belfast, is best served by Village Soup newspaper and WERU radio, and WERU is playing them. Most important, there is no snow storm in for forecast for next Friday.

It's always like this, people dying (Uncle Vernon Altazan) and people being born. On this last day of the year, we are pleased to welcome to the world, Lily Lizette Beatty, new daughter of my niece Maria Matens.
