You can quote me on this next year: This is the last winter that I do not leave the state all winter.
Next year I'm going south for a few weeks. It's just too boring. I like shoveling snow and raking the roof; I appreciate the beauty and the coziness. But I need to bust out of it for a couple of weeks.
The revolution in Egypt would have been riveting at any time, but it seems like I had more time in the last two weeks to pay attention to it. Me and the rest of the world. Aljazeera English is now one of my top news sites. I hope DirecTV offers it soon. If dictators are trying to shut it down, we need to be watching it. I hope Egypt is a big step toward not framing every thing in terms of terrorism. Out to breakfast and shopping in Belfast today. This rug just said Buy Me and I did. Don't know where to put it yet, probably the porch.
